The robbery incident took place near the Saravana Poikai pond of Tiruporur Kandaswamy temple in Chengalpattu district. This house belongs to DMK district councilor Jayachandran. He has been living in this house with his unwell wife. In this case, someone has come to the house while he is away. Wife Megala went with difficulty to see who it was.

A lady in her 40s asked for water to drink. After this, Megala slowly went inside and brought water. After receiving this, the woman threw the chili powder she had on Megala in the blink of an eye. Due to this, Meghla is unstable. Not knowing what to do, the woman cut the 10-savaran gold chain from Megala’s neck and left the place quickly.
Suffering from physical infirmity on the one hand and irritation from the chilli powder on the other, Meghla could not catch the girl immediately. After this, she informed her husband and the police station about the incident. District SP Sukhuna Singh immediately visited the spot and inspected it. Later, a special team was formed under the leadership of Tiruporur Police Inspector Lilly and Assistant Inspector Raja to catch the woman who had robbed.
