In this case, the national flag was hoisted this morning and sweets were given to the soldiers of the army, air force and navy bases that protect the borders of our country.

Accordingly, soldiers hoisted our tricolor flag and played the National Anthem at Chiassin, the world’s highest battlefront located in the Himalayan range of Kashmir. The related video is going viral on social media.

Freezing Siachen

Siachen Snow Peak is located at an altitude of 23 thousand feet on the eastern side of the Karakoram range in the Himalayas. Pakistan raised the issue by claiming that the boundaries of Siachen, which is located between India and Pakistan, are not formally divided. It was in this context that in 1984, Pakistan occupied the 22,000-foot-high battle position of Pane Post in Siachen. Following this, the Indian Army drove out the Pakistani forces and brought the entire Siachen range under its control through Operation Mehdoot. Since then, India has also set up an army camp there.

Siachen has blood-freezing snow. It will be minus 25 degrees in the morning and minus 55 degrees at night. This makes staying here very difficult. And because of the frozen snow all over, the availability of pure drinking water is very rare. Thus, the water they bring should be melted by showing it in the fire and sipped little by little. Our soldiers are working here risking their lives amid all these difficulties. Various special trainings are given to soldiers to serve here. Soldiers will have to work for 90 days on top of Siachen. After that, other soldiers will be sent here in shifts.
