Thekkady: It has been reported that the Kerala Forest Department has given permission for Tamil Nadu government buses to go to Thekkady ferry terminal.

Boats are operated for tourists at Mullai Periyar Dam. There are 5 daily ferries from Thekkady at 7.30 am, 9.30 am, 11.15 am, 1.45 am and 3.30 am. It is a journey of one and a half hours each.
