“Finally that day has come” – GV Prakash Eleschi on National Award


As music composer GV Prakash Kumar has been announced with the National Award for the best background score of the film ‘Suraraip Pottu’, he is elated that ‘the day has finally come’.

The 68th National Awards based on films released in 2020 were announced in Delhi this evening. Among them, Suriya’s film directed by Sudha Kongara and starring Surya was released on Amazon Prime OTD platform in November 2020 and won 5 awards.

The movie ‘Surarai Pototu’ has won five national awards namely Best Film Award, National Award for Best Actor for Suriya, Best Actress Award for Aparna Bala Murali, Best Background Music Award for GV Prakash and Best Screenplay Award. In this case, music composer GV Prakash expressed his happiness on Twitter that the award has been announced for him.

In his post in this regard, he said, ‘One big day will come… one day you will win. What you need will happen one day. The long awaited day has finally arrived. Thank you for this world and everyone. Thanks to my father Venkatesh, my family, Chaindavi, Bhavani, Anvi for everything they have done for me.

It is noteworthy that this is the first national award for GV Prakashkumar, who is attracting attention not only in Tamil cinema but also at the national level due to his unique musical skills.
